Joyful dolphin experiences combined with therapeutic educational and recreational programs for people with special needs and their families.
This short term program is run by a special ed teacher, a recreational therapist, and a social worker working together to enhance therapy goals by daily use of both classroom and water sessions. They are located in a beautiful & accessible 5,000 square foot facility, with a sensory garden , invertebrate touch tank, educational displays with 8 aquariums, and six dolphins in residence.
The program runs in 5 day sessions, with a maximum of three consecutive 5 day sessions at a time. Programs are provided from March to November each season while the water is warm and enjoyable. The cost for a five day program is $2,200. Some scholarships are provided based on financial need of the participant and the availability of funding. Applicants must apply in advance.
