Chesed Home provides a safe, structured, and nurturing environment, rooted in Jewish values, for adults with mental illness. They ensure that those served receive the individualized support they need to live independently, and the compassionate care they deserve to live joyfully. They provide trained Resident Counselors around the clock, offer counseling, case management, and transportation services, and connect residents with the community resources most appropriate for their goals and needs. They have a kosher kitchen, celebrate Shabbat and Jewish holidays, engage with local rabbis and synagogues, and engage residents in Tikkun Olam. If/when residents are ready to graduate to a more independent living situation, they offer independent apartments on their campus. They are located in sunny Escondido, CA (in North San Diego County), and are a private pay facility.
