JCC Brooklyn's Camp for Children who are Blind or have Low Vision

The Brooklyn JCC’s new camp for the visually impaired will operate at their Bay Ridge location from August 7 – 18 in collaboration with Helen Keller Services for the Blind. HKSB will train and provide teachers to work with 25 campers ranging in age from 7 to 14. The JCC-Brooklyn’s Special Needs staff will help develop and supervise the program, with specialists who will ensure that the kids have a high-quality summer experience that is no different from their peers. This camp will be provided at no cost to the families. Rochel Yenty Bodek will be working at this camp, and has been assured that they will make accommodations for religious campers.
