Women’s Health Focus Group

Rowan Integrated Special Needs Center (RISN) in Sewell, NJ is looking for women to participate in two focus groups to review educational materials pertaining to women’s health exams. The goal is to increase awareness and access to physical, sexual, and reproductive health for women with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD).

One focus group will be composed of women with an intellectual and/or developmental disability (IDD), and the other focus group will be composed of parents or legal guardians of women with IDD. Employment resource for autistic adults

Research shows that nearly half of 25-year-olds with autism have never held a paying job, though many are willing and able to work. PerformCare Funding Limit Increase

The NJ Department of Children and Families has increased the finding limit for assistive technology from $11,000 over a 3 year period to $15,000 over a three year period, effective immediately. This funding assists families in the purchase of wheelchair lifts, ramps, and other forms of assistive technology that help improve the functioning of individuals with IDD.
