Reduced Mass Transit Fares---NYC

Fair Fares NYC is a city program created to help low-income New Yorkers with their transportation costs. Participating New York City residents can receive a 50 percent discount on either subway or eligible bus fares as well as Access-A-Ride paratransit trips. Pay-Per-Ride, 7-Day (Weekly) and 30-Day (Monthly) Unlimited Ride options are all available. Residents might be eligible if they live in New York City, are between and including the ages of 18 and 64 and have a household income that’s at or below the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) for their household size. People who are 65 or older (regardless of income) are eligible for the Reduced Fare MetroCard program, which is an MTA program. Submit applications online at www.access.nyc.gov/programs/fair-fares and then download the ACCESS HRA mobile app to add required documents. Applicants should get a Fair Fares NYC MetroCard in the mail within three weeks of approval of their application.

 

Advocacy For Accessible Pedestrian Signal

An Accessible Pedestrian Signal (APS) is a pedestrian push button that communicates when to cross the street in a non-visual manner, such as audible tones, speech messages and vibrating surfaces.
