L’Chaim Shidduch Meetings---The L'Chaim Global Community Shidduch Event is scheduled from Sunday, January 29 – Sunday, February 12, 2017.  Join women the world over who are facilitating community and intercommunity shidduchim. There is a special need to hold meetings to facilitate shidduchim for the many higher functioning young people with disabilities or medical issues. Surveillance Cameras On Loan---New Jersey has started a Safe Care Cam loan program which will lend a tiny surveillance camera to families who suspect that an aide may be abusing their loved one. Megama LaAtid – Professional Technological Education in Special Ed. A unique 3-year program for high school graduates. This course is for:

  • Students with special needs who have graduated high school this past year and have undergone a vaadat hasama in the past or are studying in a mainstreaming program.
  • Motivated to continue studying and acquiring a profession
  • Have successfully completed (passed) at least 2 of the three required Liba areas: English/math/primary language acc to the required 90-hour study program (or can handle these requirements, based on the educational team’s opinion)
  • Can function independently
  • Do not have a right to a full teudat bagrut by the end of high school
