Pacifier Holder Recall--Playtex is recalling 1.4 million pacifier holders because of concern that a small child could choke if a part of the clip broke off. The clips — used to connect a pacifier to clothing, diaper bags or strollers — can crack and a small part can break off. Playtex has received 99 reports of the holder cracking or breaking. No injuries have been reported. They are recalling 1.25 million clips in the U.S. and 150,000 in Canada. They were sold from 2010 through October 2013 for about $3 at major retailers including Target, Walmart and online at Amazon.com.

Consumers should stop using the pacifier holder and contact Playtex Products Inc. for a refund at (888) 220-2075 or online at www.playtexproducts.com.

ADHD & Executive Function Webinar—Take the course from the comfort of your own home—no matter where you live!

Perri Hecht and Mindy Rosenthal have produced a webinar about ADHD & Executive Function which will air on February 2, 2014. The purpose of this workshop is to offer research-based  strategies and techniques for problems associated with ADHD and executive function, that are both useful and practical. The presentation is comprehensive and covers aspects of both  executive function and ADHD. The  introduction includes a description of the attributes of executive function  as well as neurological underpinnings that help to explain problems that can occur. It is followed by  assessment of executive function ability. The remaining sections address memory, focus, planning and organization, self-control and self-esteem. Rather than waiting for the end of the conference to discuss the application of these strategies,  recommendations and activities are integrated into the entire presentation.

There is a 90 page handout that contains, in addition to the power points, templates and sheets that can be copied and used for clients. It will be emailed to registrants about a week before the workshop along with log-in information.

There will also be a resource table with numerous games and books.  Webinar participants will receive a separate handout detailing everything that is on the resource table as well as a live viewing during the lunch break.

The webinar will be available to registrants for an additional 2 days, so that you need not view it all at once.

This webinar course is approved for SLP: .6 ASHA CEU’s, BCBA: 7 type 2 BACB CEUs, OT: 6 CEU’s. Every participant receives a certificate of completion.

Regular price $139. Beineinu is putting together a group which will receive a discounted price. Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for more information.
