Pesach Warning- MEDICATION AND ALCOHOLIC DRINKS ARE A DANGEROUS COMBINATION!            If you or your loved one takes ANY kind of medication or has a medical condition, do not ruin your family’s Seder by ending up in the emergency room! You do not want anyone to fulfill the mitzvah of drinking 4 cups of wine during the Seder and spend the rest of the holiday in the hospital! Speak to the doctor and your Rabbi before drinking even small amounts of wine. Low alcoholic content can still cause a reaction. You can fulfill the mitzvah with grape juice.

Keep Your ‘Little Helpers’ safe—In this pre-Peach cleaning season, here are some tips to keep your ‘helpful helpers’ safe:

  • Break down the tasks into small, simple chores that the children know how to carry out.
  • Be sure that the cleaning materials used are age and developmentally appropriate for the child.
  • Do not allow children to do heavy lifting or use harsh chemicals and sharp objects that can cause serious injury.
  • When working in dusty areas or even with ‘mild’ cleansers, make sure there is fresh air or a window open.
  • Most importantly, always have a supervising adult on hand at all times for ‘better judgment’ whenever necessary as well as for help and support if it is called for.
  • Though we hope you never need it, keep the number of Hatzolah handy, preferably on or near your phone.
