As a pediatric occupational therapist with more than 10 years of clinical experience, professionally Keri specializes in working with infants, young children and their families by promoting developmental milestones in clients’ homes, in the public school system and in the community. Over time it was clear that Keri had developed a talent for finding developmental toys that promoted a child’s educational skills, in fun, natural and playful ways. So after friends began to call Keri to find unique products that would be helpful to their child’s development, coupled with changes in private health insurance making therapeutic services cost prohibitive for many families, Keri along with her husband Derek, a multimedia specialist, decided it was time to put both of their talents together to create a resource for all parents, and ToyQueen.com was developed. Keri has been featured as a contributing writer in various other toy, parenting and juvenile product blogs, has made her media debut on live web shows and is using her expertise to provide consultation for product and brand development with many premier companies. Almost a year after ToyQueen.com was born, Keri started a new venture in her life, and every spare moment she has enjoys chasing after her son Gavin, a very curious toddler.
