NEW YORK STATE CARE AT HOME WAIVER

For children that have a skilled nursing need, and  have no Medicaid, the CARE AT HOME program will give them straight Medicaid and as many nursing hours as decided by the nurse that comes down to do the home assessment.

If the patient has an HMO insurance and the family wants to receive nursing they can either try to get through their HMO, or apply to the CAH program to receive the straight Medicaid and the nursing.
