Their many support services include homemade meal delivery, transportation to and from medical appointments, homework help for children, housekeeping assistance, medical insurance advocacy, crisis counseling, caregiver support for the healthy spouse, and so much more. They collaborate with the children’s schools to ensure the children receive the extra support they need to maintain their grades.

 Family retreats give patients and their families a chance for a stress-free weekend away to recharge and reconnect. They have organized numerous recreational events for children with sick parents, such as carnivals, concerts, parties at indoor recreation centers, and even a travel camp

Kochavim services patients, the children of patients and their affected families in the NY tri-state area, providing support and crucial interventions in the hospital, patient’s homes, and at their unique Kochavim centers.

Kochavim provides hosting & hospitality to families visiting the New York area for medical treatment, hospital shifts, visiting teachers, help at home, advocacy, the sterile Star Learning Centers for immunocompromised children, and The Space activity clubhouse.

They also support patients who need to travel to distant hospitals by sending volunteers to accompany the family during this difficult time. They match up volunteers who speak the family’s language and fly them to assist the family’s childcare and hospital logistics.
