Werdnig's Syndrome

An inherited severe form of spinal muscular atrophy, a motor neuron disease, which causes progressive degeneration of the spinal cord motor neurons.  This causes muscle wasting in the legs, arms, head, and neck which affect daily living.  See motor neuron disease and spinal muscular atrophy
