A condition where the heel does not touch the floor when walkingIt is normal in toddlers, and usually disappears by age two.  Persistant toe walking may be due to a shortened Achilles tendon.  Treatment includes casting to lengthen the tendon.  Toe walking, especially in older children, especially on one foot, may be a sign of Cerebral palsy or neurological problems.
