Postrenal Disorders

Any disorder causing obstruction to the flow of urine anywhere along the urinary system.  This is also called postobstructive uropathy.  Obstruction results in the backflow of urine into the kidneys that can damage kidney tissue.  Common causes of obstruction are prostate disease, cancers, and kidney stones.
