THE CIRCUS

Life is like a carnival;

Clowns, balloons, and all.

Circus tent, juggling act,

Tightropes and balancing ball.

Sometimes you end up at a race

And try desperately to win.

But more important than the prize

Is strength that’s gained within.

At times you may hide who you are

Behind a face-painted mask,

But remember there’s no one else

Who can fulfill your destined task.

Clowns wander all around,

Brightening your day,

Those are special people

That Hashem has sent your way.

And when you get a candy gram—

A personal, sweetened letter,

It’s a little message from Above

To make you feel much better.

You can see an image of yourself

When you watch the juggling act,

Managing your daily life,

Trying to keep your ruach intact.

The tightrope walker is also

Someone who can give you hope;

Just take one step at a time

And you’ll stay balanced on that rope.

But most important of all,

That there is to know,

Is that there’s an Almighty ring master

That is running the show!
