Shmira Project To Help Israeli Soldiers---The Shmira Project matches combat soldiers with members of the community who “adopt” them with the intent to daven or do specific mitzvos in their merit, which we hope will protect them. To contact the administrators, call or text 410-657-2433 (USA). To sign up, go to www.shmiraproject.com. Alternatively, you can text 240-393-4836 (USA) to receive a soldier’s name through an automated system. Soldiers may call 240-393-4836 (USA) or access the website to submit their names. Once signed up, one can got o the comments page to report on what you are doing on behalf of the soldiers. In this merit, may Klal Yisroel merit a speedy, successful end to this trial and campaign, with no loss of life or limb. May we all be worthy of seeing the complete geulah very soon!

Rest Area---A new Jewish rest area is opening near JFK international airport. Located off the Belt Parkway at the Rockwood Park Jewish Center at 156-45 84th Street in Howard Beach, Queens, the new Mincha-Maariv area will offer daily minyanim, kosher sandwiches and light refreshments, and free short or long term parking by reservation. The Rabbi Morton Friedman Rest Area will be open from 5:00pm-midnight. To hear the daily schedule or make a parking reservation, call 718-641-5822.
Orange County Fair---The New York State Orange County Fair will be taking place from July 17-27 in Middletown, NY. The are giving free admission to special needs group homes, by prior application. There is a parking fee. Contact 845-343-4826 to receive an application.

Iron Dome video for kids---A cute informational animated video for kids explaining what the "Iron Dome" is – how it's here to protect us from the missiles (explained in very child-friendly and non-frightening terms) and that when you hear the "boom" – no reason to be afraid, it's just "me, Tilli.."
